Take the ALDI One Week Challenge + Giveaway (3) $25 ALDI Gift Certificates

by Christy on September 1, 2010

Do you have an ALDI grocery store nearby? If so, ALDI is challenging you to take the One Week Challenge. They want you to do your grocery shopping at ALDI for one week and then compare your receipts with other grocery stores. They believe that you will see that cart-to-cart nobody beats ALDI.

ALDI prices are typically 30 to 40 percent less than store brands at traditional supermarkets and 15 to 20 percent less than big box store brands.  Quality, taste and satisfaction are always double guaranteed at ALDI. If for any reason a shopper is not 100% satisfied with any product, ALDI will replace the product and refund the money.

Here are some things I learned about shopping at ALDI for the first time (while in Florida).   Go HERE to learn everything you need to know about shopping at ALDI.

  • You will need to bring a quarter to get a shopping cart (you will get it back when you return the cart).
  • You will want to bring your own bags from home. They do charge a very small fee if you need to use their bags.
  • ALDI does not accept coupons.

I asked my readers what they loved at ALDI, and lots of people love their Fit & Active line of products and several people raved about their brownies. So, you might want to check those items out while you are there. You can use their store locator to see if you have an ALDI location near you.

Giveaway:  3 people will win a $25 gift certificates to ALDI, so you can try the one week challenge for yourself.

Here’s how to enter:

Leave a comment letting me know what you love about ALDI.  (If you have never shopped there before, you can just say “haven’t shopped their yet.”

Additional entries: (leave a separate comment for each extra entry)

Love Aldi! Fit and Active makes some really great products (caramel rice cakes!) Cereal, baking items, canned veg, and fruit, cheese, milk…everything is less expensive, and the quality is great!

I love getting essentials for cheaper than the grocery store.

I love Aldis because I can be in and out of the store in about thirty minutes and I save a ton of money on groceries. My oldest daughter (4) can’t wait to put the quarter in to get the cart. My hubby loves their creamer. =)

ALDI is the original green supermarket — they were the original bring your own bag for your groceries store. I love them for all their great prices and new and different products they offer every time you go. It is always an adventure.

My daughter loves their cereal. I love that it costs so much less than the typical grocery store. Their brownies are to die for! I always stock up. I also like their canned goods. They are really cheap.

We don’t have an ALDI store near us, but I always shop at one when I go to visit my mom in MI. My favorite thing from there is the Fit and Active turkey bacon and the dried cherries. I also love the brownies. :)

I haven’t shopped at Aldis yet but my sister was just telling me TODAY that their salad dressings are amazing! And they are only 99 cents! Sounds like a $25 gc would buy me a lot of great food! Count me in (fingers crossed!).

I have shopped at Aldi’s for years and love so much of their groceries! You save lots of money shopping at aldi’s. They have good produce and so much cheaper than other stores.

We love their low prices and the fact that you don’t have what seems like hundreds of brands to choose from. And your readers are absolutely right about the brownies! They’re the BEST!!!! Forget expensive brands! We’ll only use Aldi’s brownies, and EVERYONE loves them!!!

Thanks for the giveaway!

I love our Aldi! The people who work there are super helpful and nice. I am able to stock up on the essentials for our pantry and freezer and save big money. I have found that Aldi’s cereals are made with better ingredients than the big name companies, and that goes for many other products too. The best part is no distractions of loud music and commercials, and no end caps of junk. I can be in and out of the store in less than 35 minutes with a full cart of groceries.

Tanisha September 8, 2010 at 2:11 pm
