Kids can eat FREE at IKEA Friday, July 1 – Monday, July 4 2011. There is no adult purchase necessary. Limit one meal per child, and they must be present. You may want to call your location to make sure they are participating.

Make sure your kids are in line with you when you pay. We did this once and I had my three boys go and sit down with their dad (because really, like I want to deal with three rowdy boys in a huge long line and then waiting to get the food!) and a VERY rude cashier didn’t believe me that I had kids and wouldn’t give me the free meals. As if I was buying all the kids food for myself, lol! I ended up convincing her that my children were sitting down and then I spoke with a manager about it because she was so rude.

Good for you. And yeah… I don’t think you would be buying all that food for yourself. Do IKEA customers really sneak in zip-lock baggies in their purses? I do not think so. You did the right thing. Next time though, I would sit down that let the four guys go stand through the line while you relax at the table. Mothers need breaks and Fathers miss their sons. *smile*
