Safeway just for u Program: Get a FREE dozen eggs when you sign up

I had the opportunity to attend a Safeway VIP Blogger Event with several other bloggers from the Pacific Northwest.    I learned about Safeway’s new just for U program, and I am going to share with you what I learned.

You will need a Safeway Club Card to sign up for Safeway’s just for u program.   If you already have a club card just head on over to Safeway’s website to sign up.

You will receive an e-coupon for a FREE dozen eggs just for signing up. I love FREE!! Once you are signed up, you can start saving even more at Safeway with personalized deals and coupons just for you.    You will find new coupons and deals each week.

There are 3 different sections in the just for u program:

Coupon Center –  The Coupon Center contains coupons that you load to your card, you can do this online, or via your mobile phone with the Safeway app.   Some of the coupons in the coupon center are specific price point coupons, just like you would find in your Safeway ad.  If you load the coupon to your card, there is no need to cut the coupon from the ad.  Love that!   There are many cents off coupons that you can load to your card as well.  Safeway combines all the coupons from all of the other e-coupon sites to bring you a huge database of e-coupons.

With the digital coupons in the coupon center you can use a cents off coupon with a price point coupon.  In the example above, I would be able to use the Yoplait price point coupon of $1.88 and also use the e-coupon for $ .75/2 Yoplait yogurt, by combining the 2 different coupons I am able to pick up Yoplait yogurt for only $1.51 each.   Not too shabby, and I didn’t even have to pull out my scissors to cut some coupons.  Just like you would expect, you cannot stack a manufacturer e-coupon and a paper manufacturer coupon for the same item.

Personalized Deals –  These deal are specific to you.  If you buy a lot of produce, expect to see lots of produce deals.   If you buy diapers on a regular basis you should see several deals on diapers.   The deals in this section are based on your previous purchases.   These deals will need to be loaded to your club card in order to be redeemed.

Here you can see an example of 2 of the Personalized Deals that I received:

• Broccoli for $ .99 lb
• Organic Bananas for $ .69 lb.

This is one of the just for u features that I am most excited about, it’s great to get deals on items you buy on a regular basis.

Your Club Specials  –  These are  deals that are generally available to any Club Card holder.   Many of these deals will be found in the weekly Safeway ad.    Plus, you will find even more deals here that you won’t see in your weekly print ad.    These items DO NOT need to be loaded to your club card, you will get the special price just by scanning your club card or entering your phone number at checkout.

You can download the Safeway app on your iPhone or Android to make saving even easier. Here are a few of my favorite Mobile features:

• You don’t need to login to your account on your computer, you can access the coupons via your phone (in-store even).
• Coupons and deals added to your card will be ready to use in about 5 minutes.
• Safeway stores have free wi-fi, this comes in handy if you are like me and have a limited data plan.
• You can create a shopping list and share it. Which means your spouse will know EXACTLY what items they will need to pick up and they won’t even have to present any coupons (coupons scare my husband).
