I love my Silhouette and I use it on a weekly basis! I used it to add labels to our organizational wall in our laundry room and I recently used the Fabric Interfacing to dress up an inexpensive muslin bag that I picked up at the craft store. I am not good at sewing, so I love the fact that I can work with fabric by cutting it out with my Silhouette and just using an iron to adhere it. Fabulous!! The Silhouette can do so many amazing things.

Grocery Outlet: Finds for May at New Crossroads Location + $25 Gift Card Giveaway!!

I stopped by to check out the brand new Crossroads Grocery Outlet in Bellevue, and I found some great deals (that always happens at Grocery Outlet). I am sharing some of the deals I found (and I am giving away 2 $25 gift cards too!) If you are local and plan on heading to the new Bellevue Crossroads location make sure you check out their Facebook page for a $5 off $25 coupon (valid through 5/18).

Deals can vary at each Grocery Outlet, so you may not find the exact same deals at your store, but this should give you an idea of the savings you can get by shopping at Grocery Outlet. Keep in mind that Grocery Outlet does not accept manufacturer coupons, but they do occasionally release their own store coupons. Quite often their prices are lower than what you may find at other grocery stores even when you use coupons.

When you first walk in the store, they have a whole section dedicated to Natural, Organic, Specialty and Healthy items (NOSH), all at great prices.

You can also find the NOSH deals throughout the store. Our family loves the Clif bars and fruit ropes and we often find them at Grocery Outlet for less than you find them at regular grocery stores.

The Crossroads location had a nice selection of produce:

Organic Salad Mix & Spinach $2.50
3-lb Bag of Apples for $1.49 (that’s $.50 a lb!)
Dragonfruit $3.99 (they even carry some different types of fruit)

I usually always find some amazing deals on yogurt at Grocery Outlet and the Crossroads location was no exception:

I also like to check out the health and beauty section, you can find some amazing deals on some popular brands. I love when I find Burt’s Bees items at Grocery Outlet!

I’ve said it before, shopping at Grocery Outlet is just like a treasure hunt, because you will never know what you are going to find. I was kind of excited to find the following deals, because these are some of our family faves!

Terry’s Chocolate Orange $.99 (a favorite of my son whose having a birthday soon)

Franz San Juan Island Bread $1.99 (this is an amazing price for this bread)
Hansen’s Natural Soda $1.99 (we don’t buy pop much, but when I do I love to buy this brand – so good!)

Here are the items I picked up this week. I spent $15.91 for everything pictured. My savings was over $20!!

I love my Silhouette and I use it on a weekly basis! I used it to add labels to our organizational wall in our laundry room and I just recently made a cute fruit basket that I filled with cookies to give to a friend. I cut out the fruit basket out of chipboard using my silhouette, then I dressed it up a bit with a scallop border and some baking twine. I love using the Silhouette to make cute gift packaging, it’s just one of the many uses.

Silhouette Cameo or Portrait & Premium Vinyl Promo + Silhouette Portrait Giveaway!!!

I am thrilled to announce that I will be giving away a Silhouette Portrait! If you have been wanting one of these wonderful little machines, now would be a great time to purchase one, since Silhouette has a special money saving promo this month of both the Silhouette Portrait and the Silhouette Cameo.

I love my Silhouette! I have been using it like crazy making vinyl labels for many things in my house. I used it in my laundry room and now I am making labels for the storage boxes in my closet that hold my toiletries stockpile. I am sharing a quick tutorial so you can see how easy it is to cut and apply your own vinyl letters. It really is super simple! You’ll be amazed how quickly you can personalize items, home decor, gifts and more.

Once you cut the vinyl with the Silhouette, you will want to remove the extra vinyl from your image. Super simple. The second image shows what it will look like once all the extra vinyl has been removed.

Next you use the transfer tape and cover your entire image with the tape and give the image a good rubbing so it will all attach to the transfer tape. Carefully remove the transfer tape, the image should be attached to the transfer tape. In the last photo you can see what it will look like when the image it attached to the transfer tape.

To apply the image you adhere the transfer tape directly to your item. Once again, give the image a good rubbing and remove the transfer tape. Voila! Your image should be adhered to your project. It really is super easy! The vinyl transfers to the tape and then to your item with ease.
