Christy, I noticed that The Blind Side is coming out on Tuesday. Could you give me any ideas on where to look for a coupon?

Sarah Carlson March 22, 2010 at 6:04 pm

Hi,

I am going to give my daughter the pita recipe as she doesn’t work outside the home and makes a lot of stuff from scratch, and hopefully if she makes it I will get one!

Now AS FOR THE KEEPING OF THE YEAST–You do NOT want to do that. Yeast gets old and dies. Always make sure when you purchase your yeast that you have an indated package. Never purchase the outdated ones, even with coupons, or clearance or whatever. It will not be as effective and can ruin your mixture, which is a cost consideration especially if you are making bread.

Jane April 5, 2010 at 1:42 pm

Hi there. I thought I’d let you know about a few deals that I got at my local Fred Meyer (Kroger) today.

I bought 3 Skippy Peanut butter at 3/$5 on sale and a $1.00 catalina coupon printed. I was unaware of this promotion and I don’t know how long it’s going on, but that makes for a great deal!

There are also two other catalinas going on that I got word about from KrazyCouponLady.com. They are for the Velvetta cups and the Betty Crocker Potates. The Potatoes are a money maker. You can find the details on their blog.

Also, the Family size Stouffers are still on sale for $3.99 and when you become a fan of Stouffers on Facebook you’ll be able to print 2 coupons for $2.50/1 Stouffers. Again, a very good deal!

Christy I was wondering if you had a heads up as to when Target will be having there July toy clearance sale? In Jan. you nailed the day exactly! My mom bought all of the gifts she needed for Christmas this year for her family which is 22 kids for for under $250 that included a razor pocket rocket for my son. I bought all of my nieces and nephew, friends kids and extra gifts for those unexpected parties 15 in total for $60. Now im on a mission for my own children. My husband had just lost his job when the first sale was so I couldn’t buy for my children and was hoping to finish this July. Thanks so much for your help. Finding this blog has helped me out so much.

Christy June 28, 2010 at 7:45 am

Adrian – I am working on a post on this very subject (hopefully, will be up today or tomorrow). Gotta LOVE the Target clearance!!!. I am starting to see lots of toys at 30% off at Target, so the clearance sale has started. Last year they toys went 75% off on July 29 & 30th, so it will probably be at the end of July again. I will be sure to keep you updated every week! Look for the Target Toy Clearance post coming soon with all the details.

Hi Christy–sorry if you already have this one!!–but I was able to get the new Disney Tinkerbell DVD for just $4.99 at CVS tonight. It’s $19.99 with $5 back in ECB (limit of 5 per account), and then Disney is running a $10 coupon here: http://www.disneymovierewards.go.com/promotions/special-offers/tink3ptw-coupon. The coupon says “Blu-Ray Combo Pack,” but my CVS (Virginia) and a friend’s CVS (Texas) both accepted it on the regular DVD–making it just $4.99.

FYI!

Hi Christy,
We are heading to the Great Wolf Lodge this Friday afternoon in Grand Mound. We got in on the great deal you mentioned a couple of months ago. Anyway, we need to go budget since we are bringing several of the boys friends. Do you know of any Restaurant.com restaurants we can eat at either in the area or between Portland and Grand Mound that aren’t too far of of I-5? Or do you know of any other way, other than bringing our own food, we can eat inexpensively? BTW, I do have a Portland area Entertainment book. Mary S.

http://bfads.net/ This is a GREAT site to share. I used it last year too. I see what is going to be hard to get ON SALE for Black Friday. I put it on layaway at KMART and sleep in with confidence I will get my items. I go get my layaway out. Show them they sales ads from competitor and they match it $ for $ but must be the same as in ad. They also list Cyber Monday items and lots of PRE sales. I saved a lot last Christmas.

LYNDI October 25, 2010 at 11:57 am

the items you sales you list , is it ok for other bloggers to list them as well? i have a small blog that my freinds and family subscribe to and i would love to put some of your deals on there along with lots of my own ,so what is the generall rule for this sort of thing between bloggers?

Arial Buza October 25, 2010 at 2:23 pm

Hi

I have a couple Lego sets I picked up in the Target toy clearance over the past year and was wondering when the best time to put them on Ebay would be. I remember you mentioning that your normally do this once a year for Xmas money.

Thanks!
Angela

Jayme November 22, 2010 at 6:13 pm

Ok, this is probably a stupid question but does one coupon per purchase mean I can only use one coupon or that if I have for example two $1.oo off 2 coupons and am getting four of the item I can use 2 coupons?

Andrea November 23, 2010 at 6:19 am

Hi Christy!

Do you know of any current Groupon codes for Picaboo? I need to order about 10 books *gasp* and even their current 40% off sale is pretty pricey. I’d love to combine it with a Groupon voucher and save even more. :)

Thank you! Enjoy the snowy weather!

Nicole January 12, 2011 at 8:05 am

Hi there,

I’m wondering if you can help me with a question that has come up since I’ve started couponing. What is the best way of going about the printable coupons? Would you suggest just always printing the ones that are of interest of you, or waiting for the match ups on yours and others blogs and THEN printing what you will use for your trip? The first option seems like A LOT of potentially wasted ink and paper, but if you don’t, you risk 1. not having a coupon that you see a great deal for spontaneously and 2. the coupon “running out” before you actually want to print it.

How would you go about this as a new couponer?

Please help! Thank you so much!

Nicole Bond

Jeanie January 19, 2011 at 1:01 pm

Cristy-

I went to Winn Dixie today. The AirWick starter kits are b.o.g.o. They also let you use 2 manufacturers coupons. I had a $4 and a $3 off manufacturer coupon. They are regular 13.99. So I paid $6.99 for 2. Total savings- $20.99.

Erin January 23, 2011 at 7:11 pm

I have been finding some amazing coupons for Classico Pasta Sauce at Winco, Fred Meyer and Safeway in Medford, Oregon this week. One is for $1.00 off any Classico Sauce- a peel off on the front of Ronzoni pasta boxes. The other is for $1.00/2 Classico and $1.00/2 Ronzoni Healthy Harvest pasta- a peel off on the Classico jars. These will make for a great deal soon I’m sure!

kellis January 28, 2011 at 10:48 am

Heads up for safeway I just got a $1 catalina for my purchase on Classico Pasta Sauce 9 lovely jars for $4.14 The catalina I got was a dollar off anything I like these kinds of catalinas:)

Amanda April 1, 2011 at 11:41 am

I was wondering if anyone can help me! A few months ago I came across an awesome PDF that someone from a blog had put together. It is a shopping list that has all the “lowest prices” in one column and then a blank column on the other side for us to add “our lowest prices”. This was a great sheet to keep in the front of your coupon binder to help when shopping for the lowest deals in your area. I can’t find it anywhere and I wanted to print this! I was having printer issues when I saw it and was unable to do so and it looks like I forgot to book mark it as well! If anyone has seen this or has something similar and would like to share, I would GREATLY appreciate it! Thanks for any help!!!

Cindy April 25, 2011 at 8:10 am

Christy- Are you out of Kent, WA? So am I! I am new to Couponing and a friend suggested your site. I noticed one of your write ups about Target was from Kent. It’s nice to find a local blogger since the deals seems to vary by region. Thanks !! Cindy

Tracy Unnasch April 29, 2011 at 2:47 pm

It’s becoming clearer and clearer that our newspaper, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel is horribly biased and blatantly unethical in their choice of stories and reporting. Recent events in Wisconsin plus a BPA story scandal have shown it to be so. So . . . if I cancel our subscription (since we find their “news” generally worthless), where will I find coupons? Just when I was re-committing myself to couponing. Or, do I just need to suck it up for my coupons? Thanks, Christy. I appreciate your thoughts.

Just wanted to let you know i went to Walgreens earlier today and got the 4/$5 Starbucks Frappucino coffees. I was only going to use the $.50 coupon from the May cpn Savings book, but the cashier got the $2 cpn from the Spanish cpn bklt 2weeks ago. I told her that was for 2 packs of 4 but she scanned it and it worked! She was behind the counter cutting up alot of cpns & when i needed some like for the gillette body wash she got me another one for $2. Tha’s the second time i’ve seen her cutting up cpns on a Monday and she’s given me cpns every time i needed them, i did 3 transactions today, bought 28 items for $30.42.

Just wanted to share the great deal I found. Image Canvas has 2 special offers right now, you can get a 16″ x 20″ (3/4″) canvas image for $39.95 (regularly $88.95) with the code CANVAS39 or you can get a 20″ x 24″ (3/4″) canvas image for $49.95 (regularly $109.95) with the code CANVAS49. Both offers expire 12/31/11. You can also get 25% off all year with the code 25offagb. I recently ordered our family portrait from Image Canvas and their product quality is fantastic.
