I love Mexican food and you can’t beat fresh homemade salsa, but this Salsa Verde comes pretty close. I am a HUGE fan of anything with cilantro and this green salsa has a fresh cilantro flavor that I just love. I used Salsa Verde in several of my cooked mexican dishes, but I also love to eat it with tortilla chips. Give this a try!
Homemade Salsa Verde
5 Tomatillos (rinsed and husked)
1 Jalapeno Pepper
1 tsp minced Garlic
2 TBSP fresh Cilantro (chopped)
1/4 cup minced Onion
1/2 Lime (juiced)
1/2 tsp Salt
Husk and rinse tomatillas. Next remove the stem and seeds from jalapeno.
Place tomatillos, pepper and garlic in blender or food processor and process until pureed well but still on the chunky side.
Add onions, cilantro, lime juice and salt and mix well.
