Here’s a couple of Costco tips for you: If an item ends in 7, it is Costco’s version of a clearance item. Also, if you notice an asterisk in the top right hand corner of the sign with the price, that means it is a seasonal item and will not be stocked again (it may come back next year, but it won’t be re-stocked after the current supply is depleted).
This month I am highlighting a bunch of food for a couple of reasons. One, because I noticed a lot of new food items I haven’t seen before. Two, I was hungry while I was shopping, so I gravitated to the food (I know, bad idea). Lastly, they got me with all those darn samples. I think I added 4 things to my cart just because I tried them and liked them.
The first thing I want to mention is that you can now get The Old Spaghetti Factory Mizithra Cheese at Costco. You can check here to see if your location is stocking this cheese. We love to make Spaghetti with Mizithra Cheese for dinner on occasion, instead of just plain ol’ spaghetti sauce. Love it!
Oh my goodness, these spoke to me! They said “throw me in your cart”, and I did just that. I love anything with chocolate and salted caramel, add pretzels and I think I am in heaven. These were priced at $11.79, which wasn’t cheap, but can you really put a price on chocolate and salted caramel? I think not!
These ended up in my cart because they were offering samples. I never would have bought them otherwise, because who really wants Quinoa and blueberries in their chocolate. Let me tell you…you do! These are so good. They are priced at $9.79. Again, not cheap, but like I said you really can’t put a price on chocolate.
I’m apparently going with a “snack” theme this month. I also wanted to mention Angie’s Kettle Corn, because it is good and on sale. These are only $4.29 with the automatic $1.50 off.
They have a screaming deal on the Pomegranate Craisins, these are only $3.69, you save $3 off the regular price with instant rebate.
They have a pretty new rose cake that is lemon with raspberry swirl. Sounds heavenly! It is priced at $9.89.
There are lots of plants and shrubs in stock at Costco. We should see these plants available through Mother’s Day. I will say these go fairly quick and they don’t always bring in the same stock, if there is something you are interested in I would buy them asap.
I have one of these Aladdin insulated mugs and I love it! This 3-pack also comes with 3 extra straws. It is priced at $19.99. You may be able to find these cheaper at other stores individually if you can find a sale.
I found a nice 3-piece cutting board set marked down to $14.97.
I have a set of the off-white flameless candles, but they now come in a 5-pack of assorted colors. These are super cool and priced at $24.99.
I noticed lots of new clothing in stock.
These Chooka women’s shoes were marked down to $19.97.
There were some markdowns in the beauty department, including a 4-pack of Aqua Tint lip gloss for $9.97.
My store in Issaquah had high end beauty products for sale. I didn’t notice these at my store in Covington, so I am guessing these will not be available at all locations.
Sunglasses are in stock at Costco.
There is now a lot of camping and outdoor gear at Costco. This hammock lounger with shade is $64.99. I know if my husband was with my he totally would have wanted this. This is one reason why I leave him at home when I go to Costco.
They also have a fun Step 2 Water Table with Umbrella for $44.99. We had one of these when my kids were young, it was one of the best toys ever. I highly recommend it!
Have a trip to the beach planned? You can pick up this bucket playlet for $9.99.
What have you been picking up at Costco lately? I’d love to hear about some of your Costco faves!
Make sure you check out this month’s Costco Coupon Mailer match-ups over at This Beautiful Frugal Life, she breaks down the cost for you and let’s you know which item are a super deal.
