I mentioned that we would be saving all of the gift cards we earned throughout the year, for our Disney World vacation. Here is the finally tally of all the gift cards we earned.
$415 – Disney gift cards (Applying for (2) Disney Visa’s and accumulated rewards)
$125 – Target gift cards (MyPoints Rewards, Prescription & Target gift card offers)
$100 – The Cheesecake Factory (Rewards from husbands work)
$50 – Panera Bread (Mypoints Rewards)
$50 – Chevron (Auction)
$40 – Visa gift cards (Rewards from husbands work)
$40 – Tully’s gift card (gift)
$25 – American Express gift card (blog giveaway)
$25 – Costco gift card (blog giveaway)
$25 – Aldi (blog giveaway)
$25 – Jamba Juice (gift)
$10 – Walmart (blog giveaway)
Total = $930
That is $930 in gift cards we can add to our vacation fund to help pay for food, gas, groceries, souvenirs and more! I usually like to save all of my gift cards and use them for Christmas shopping, it’s amazing how fast they can add up when you save them for something special. Anybody else like to save their gift card for one big event?

Have you ever had groceries delivered to your hotel while staying at Disney? Maybe from Safeway.com. Any tips on doing this for our upcoming trip to Disneyland?
Christy says
Most of the rewards are from mypoints.com, but a few are from a rewards program at my husbands work.

That’s so awesome! Hope you guys have tons of fun on your Disney vacation! I save up gift cards for birthdays and christmas. I had $200 Visa gift card that i got from a rebate. I used that during the Target toy clearance and completely covered my 2 year old and 3 month old for Christmas and bought a few presents for my 7 year old that hopefully he will still like come December. (they change their minds so fast on what’s cool anymore). I also save my amazon gift cards from mypoints and swagbucks for Christmas and will use those to buy the remaining items for my 7 year old after he makes his Christmas wish list.

Christy stated that she saved gift cards for her Disney vacation …they don’t have Jamba juice or aldi @ Disney so how does that work? I might check with gooding’s grocery or Albertsons…I don’t think safeway is in Florida.
Christy says
Michael – There are Aldi stores here in Orlando. We have a car, so we can drive to one of them. The Jamba gift cards will be used in Washington, we will be using them for breakfast items before we catch our flight.

I think this is brilliant!! We just went on a 10 day Disneyworld vacation 2 weeks ago and for my 9 and 8 year olds bday and Christmas’, whenever anyone asked what they wanted they said a Disney gift card (their bdays are in Sept and Nov). They had so much spending money they had to think of ways to spend their money….which meant mom and dad didn’t have to fork over any money for that kind of stuff. Plus, they got to do extra fun stuff like Bibbity Boppity Boutique! We also kept all of our can return money (we live in OR) for Disney money, and that really adds up over time. We stayed in the Family Suite (we had 6 of us total) at the All-Star Music resort and was able to sign up for the Free Disney Dining Plan that they were offering at the time….HUGE money saver!! We had a great time and can’t wait to go back! Keep the Disney money saving tips coming, they’re great!!
