Grilling burgers outdoors seems to be a staple of summer. Sometimes though I want something a little lighter and fresher than a burger and these Bruschetta Turkey Burgers totally fit the bill.
Bruschetta Turkey Burgers:
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 3 TBSP balsamic vinegar
- 1 TBSP olive oil
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 TBSP Italian seasoning
- ciabatta rolls
Topping:
- 4 slices of fresh mozzarella
- 4 slice of tomato
- chopped fresh basil
- splash with balsamic and oil
- Salt and pepper
In bowl, mix together ground turkey, vinegar, oil, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper. Form four patties. Grill on BBQ for 5 minutes per side (or until done).
Add Slice of mozzarella and tomato to each patty. And cut ciabatta roll in half and place on the grill. Allow the cheese to melt and the bun to become toasty.
Add fresh basil, and splash of with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Finish off with a bit of salt and pepper. Enjoy!
