Upgrade your taco night! Use marinated skirt steak instead of ground beef or chicken, it makes for an amazing taco night!!
Carne Asada Steak Tacos:
- 2lb skirt steak
For Marinade:
- 1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1 orange juiced, about 1/2 cup
- 1 lime juiced, about 1/4 cup
- zest from 1 lime
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 2 garlic cloves crushed
- 1/2 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
Dry rub:
- 1 TBSP kosher salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
Add marinade ingredients into a gallon sized Ziploc bag, mix and add steak. Place in refrigerator for 2-6 hours.
Remove steak from marinade, pat dry and add rub seasoning onto steak. Grill for 3-4 minutes each side at high heat for a medium rare steak. Time may vary depending on the thickness of your steak. Let rest for 10 minutes. Cut into thin slices.
Add steak with your favorite taco toppings. I love so use corn tortillas and add a slice of avocado, cheese, salsa and fresh cilantro. This recipe is also great with Fajitas. Enjoy!
