I don’t know about you, but I’m so glad that Summer has finally arrived! Yeah, it takes a little more creativity with time now that our little one is with me all day, but it’s so worth it!
We’ve already had a house full of family, done the Mud Run and next we’ll be heading out to go camping with the Girl Scouts!I’ve planned ahead for once and made a Summer Bucket List! It’s packed full of fun that’s sure to make this Summer memorable! Some things we’ll take off to conquer and some will be done right here at home, starting with our own “Wild Waves”!~ It’s just what it sounds like, a home made water park! Not only will water be flying and the kids splashing, but I’ll be making my own splash with some kickin’ Confetti Popcorn! Mmmm…little sweet n’ salty bites of goodness!
It doesn’t take long and it’s not hard to make! If you’ve been over to visit, you know these are the types of recipes I live for!
What you’ll need:
- 6 Cups Plain Popped popcorn (I used and air popper for big fluffy kernels)
- 2 Cups white chocolate chips (melted)~ I used my Pampered Chef bowl in the microwave
- 2 Tbsp of Dry Vanilla cake mix
- 1 Tbsp Veg. Oil
- 2 Tbsp chocolate confetti sprinkles (Or as much or little as you like!)
- Few shakes of salt
- Few sheets of wax paper
What you’ll do:
- Get your popcorn all popped up, however you decide to do it and put it in a BIG mixing bowl
- Get your chocolates melted, add the oil and dry cake batter, mix well
- Slowly pour small amounts of the white chocolate mix over your popcorn, gently mixing it as you go.
- Shake sprinkles in, a few shakes of salt, again mixing gently
- Lay out wax paper and spread out the popcorn to “dry” {add more sprinkles if needed}
- Your done!
After a few minutes, you can eat it off the wax paper, put in baggies or toss into a bowl! This is a super tasty treat and one my 8 year old LOVED to help make!
I originally found the recipe at The Tasty Kitchen, but then modified it to my own!
