Beef Kabobs with Greek Dipping Sauce

Great way to dress up ground beef by making Greek inspired Kabobs with dipping sauce.

  • 1 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 3 slices of white bread, torn into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup yellow onion (diced)
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley
  • 1 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp ground allspice
  • 1/2 tsp coriander
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp ground red pepper
  • Cooking spray
  • 8 popsicle sticks

Dipping sauce:

  • 3/4 cup greek yogurt
  • 1 garlic clove (minced)
  • 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt
  • Olive oil
  • Black pepper

  1. In medium size bowl mix together ground beef, bread crumbles, onion,  fresh parsley, and all of the spices.  Using your hands work the meat together combining all ingredients.   Form patties that are oval in shape.  Using a popsicle stick gently insert into the patty.
  2. While kabobs are cooking make yogurt dipping sauce.  Add all ingredients and whisk together.  Place in individual serving bowls.  Serve with two kab0bs and dipping sauce.
  3. Using a grill pan coated with non-stick cooking spay, add kabobs to frying pan and cook on medium heat until browned, flip and brown the other side.  It should probably take 4-6 minutes on each side.
