Yum! I love Chinese takeout, but I love homemade Chinese food even better. Try these Homemade Egg Rolls, they are delicious!
Homemade Egg Rolls:
- 1/2 lb ground pork
- 4 cups shredded cabbage/carrot mixture
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tsp fresh grated ginger
- 1/2 cup green onions
- 1 package of wonton wrappers
- 1 egg
- salt and pepper
- soy sauce for dipping
In frying pan break up pork and cook until browned, remove from heat and set aside. In large bowl add cabbage/carrot mixture, minced garlic, ginger and onion, toss and mix together. Season with salt and pepper. Mix into the cooked pork.
Add egg roll filling onto a single wonton wrapper, fold in two of the corners, then roll together securing final corner with an egg wash. Deep fry at 350 degrees, cooking 3 at a time. Cook 3-5 minutes, turning occasionally until they are a nice golden brown. Serve with soy sauce and enjoy!
