Homemade Gyoza with Dipping Sauce

Make fresh Gyoza with dipping sauce at home.

Gyoza Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1/2 cup carrots, grated
  • 1/4 tsp chili flakes
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp fresh ginger
  • 2 green onion, sliced
  • 2 1/2 cups napa cabbage, chopped into small pieces
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • round dumpling wrappers (check your local asian market)

Gyoza dipping sauce:

  • 4 Tbsp rice vinegar
  • 4 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh grated ginger
  • 1 green onion
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 tsp chili flakes

  1. In bowl add pork, carrots, pepper flakes, garlic, ginger, green onion, cabbage, onion, salt and pepper.  With hands work all ingredients together until evenly combined.
  2. Add a small spoonful meat filling into the round dumpling wrappers.  Moisten the edge of dumpling to seal.
  3. In large skillet, add 2 Tbsp of sesame oil and fry gyoza over medium heat.  Continue to turn until golden brown around all the sides of dumpling.
  4. While frying the dumplings, whisk together the dipping sauce.  Simply add all ingredients and whisk until combined.
  5. Divide into individual serving bowls.  Serve with Gyoza and enjoy!

You should find most of these ingredients and you local grocery store.  However, if you have an asian market near I would recommend going there, it will save you money and the ingredients may be fresher.
