Here a fun activity for Thanksgiving this year! You and your kids can make these Pilgrim Hat Cookies with Reese’s Peanut Butter cups. They are super easy to make and even more fun to eat.
- 12 Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups Miniatures
- 12 Famous Chocolate Wafers
- 1/2 cup Yellow Wilton Candy Melts
- 1 Yellow Laffy Taffy
To get started, place Reese’s Peanut Butter cups in freezer for 10 minutes. Lay the cookies on wax paper. Heat the yellow candy melts on small plate by microwaving for 30 seconds intervals, stirring in between until they are fully. melted. Remove wrapperfrom Reese’s and dip the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups (larger side down) into melted candy about 1/8″ and place onto center of cookie. Using a rolling pin, roll out the Laffy Taffy. Cut into 1/4″ squares to use as buckles for pilgrim hat. To attache the Laffy Taffy, use a toothpick to place a little melted chocolate onto back of buckle and place on hatband. Refrigerate these for 5 minutes or so to firm them up. Enjoy!
