This is a very simple dish to make. These Potatoes Au Gratin make a wonderful comfort food that your family will enjoy. With the weather cooling down, I love me some comfort food!
Potatoes Au Gratin:
- 5 potatoes
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup cream
- 1/2 onion diced
- 1/3 cup flour
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup cooked and chopped bacon
- olive oil
- Salt and pepper
Prep 9×9 pan by coating with a tablespoon of olive oil .
Peel and slice potatoes.
Add a layer off potatoes to prepared pan, sprinkle some flour, butter, bacon, onions, and salt and pepper. Repeat this step three more times until the pan is nearly full to the top.
Pour milk and cream over top (you can use all milk if you are looking for a lower fat option). I say go big or go home…add the cream.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45-60 minutes. You want the top a nice golden brown. Enjoy!
