There is nothing quite as spectacular as the taste of salted caramel. It’s one of my favorite flavors! These little jars of salted caramel make a perfect gift. It’s delicious for dipping apples, topping ice cream, adding to hot cocoa, and anything else you can dream up.
Salted Caramel Sauce:
- 1 cup light Corn syrup
- 6 TBSP butter
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- 1 tsp Sea Salt
- 1 tsp Vanlila
Add corn syrup in a medium pan and heat on medium, when corn syrup starts to bubble add sugar and stir until mixed. Cook syrup without stirring until it turns a golden color (approx. 10 mins).
Remove from heat, add butter and vanilla, stir until it’s all dissolved and then slowly add cream while stirring. Your last step is to add the salt and stir until dissolved.
Fill 4 oz canning to jars for gifting or for home storage.
Top off with a little of the salt, add lid and tie with a ribbon if you plan on gifting them. It is best to keep this caramel refrigerated. Enjoy!
Do you think you could water bath can it? Man, what a great christmas gift !
– I visited New Orleans for the first time a few years ago and Cafe Du Monde is definitely a must-see in the French Quarter. Beautiful photos, they bring back the memories. I’m not usually into deep fried foods, but beignets are like little squares of heaven.

Really great post with a lot of excellent posts. Thankyou so much for your help. It has been extremely helpful! Tom has an extremely weighted view when he’s talking about something so close to his heart, but it is easy to understand why! Let me say again, many thanks for the pointers.
