We are back from our Disneyland trip, and we had a wonderful time!
We met some characters.
We ate Dole Whips.
We went on lots of rides.
We played in the pool.
We picked up some cute souvenirs.
We had Stormtroopers steal our cute souvenirs.
We even did some pouting! (It wouldn’t be a real Disney vacation without some pouting)
Heather says
What?! I thought they only sold Dole Whips at WDW! I wish we had gotten some. Where do they sell them at?!?!
Ok, enough of me pouting ( 🙂 )…great photos!
Carrie says
Thanks for sharing, what is a family picture without pouting. Still can’t get my girls (14 and 10) to smile and act like they love each other in most famly pictures! Hope you had a great time.
Andrea says
Love the photos. Merry Christmas
Lyndsay says
@Heather – They sell DoleWhip at the Tiki Room, right at the entrance to Frontier Land in Disney Land. They also sell DoleWhip at the Dole plant in Hawaii and one small Frozen yogurt shop in LA…but I’m not obsessed with the stuff or anything 😉
Christy says
@Heather The Dole Whip stand is right next to the Tiki Room.

Mallory says
What fun! Glad you enjoyed your trip! I think my favorite part truthfully was the rainy Monday with no lines!
Christy says
@Mallory I totally agree!
Deb S says
Christy, Your daughter reminds me so much of you! Especially her smile in the picture with Chip… or is that Dale? Love the pouty pic too! Merry Christmas!

Looks like a great time! We love Disneyland at Christmas and one thing we missed being at World for the first time at Christmas was the giant tree on mainstreet! It REALLY wasn’t the same without it!!
Oh and a little birdy told me they included the dole whip craze @ Aulani… who’d have thought Hawaii would be a good place for it! LOL
tina says
Oh and Jacks Haunted Mansion of course!! Didn’t even bother with it in Florida two weeks ago! LOL Jack is the BEST!
Maegen says
Since you’re a vet of many trips, I want to know if it’s just as magical every time.
After out trip last year, everyone was ready to go back right away, but I thought maybe we should wait a bit to make it special again.
The fam thinks I’m crazy, of course!
Love the pics!
Christy says
@Maegen We have gone 4 years in a row (3 to Disneyland & one to Disney World), and for the most part it is just as fun each and every time. We have some die hard Disney fans in our family though. After we get home, we are anxious to get our next trip on the calendar and start saving for it.
There are several things that we did this time around that we never got the chance to do on our previous trips:
-See the Aladdin show
-Watch World of Color
-Take the entire family on Space Mountain (my youngest loved it)
-Go on the new rides (Little Mermaid & Star Tours)
-See Disneyland decorated for Christmas
-Stay at a Disney hotel
So, even though we have been several times there are always new things to enjoy. Plus, there are our old favorites that people look forward to. We love riding on Thunder Mountain Railroad when it’s dark and all the fireworks are going off. So cool!
Plus, when we know that we will come back again in the near future, we don’t feel rushed to try and fit everything in. It makes for a much more enjoyable trip.
This is the first year that when we got home we decided we will probably do something different next year. We are looking forward to possibly heading back in 2013, because there will be lots of new stuff to see in California Adventure.
Cindy says
Did you guys go to any other amusement parks while in CA or just Disneyland? My family may be going next summer. Looks like you had a wonderful time!
Christy says
@Cindy This time around we only did Disneyland and California Adventure, because this was a shorter trip for us. When we go for a longer time we usually spend a day at the beach too.
Tabitha says
Looks like you guys had a blast, I can’t wait to take my son to Disneyland!!
Gwen says
Has anyone ever done Lego Land? We go to Disney Land every year as well and we all just love it! This year in Feb. we are going to Lego Land for one of the days we are in CA. Haven’t bought the tickets yet. Waiting for a coupon from the Brick Master magazine to come out (thanks for the tip Christy 🙂 ). Any tricks to doing Lego Land right? We have 3 boys who LOVE Legos so I’m very excited for this trip. Thanks for any advice you have.
