Here are the ingredients you need to make this Caramel Apple Coffee Cake:

- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 tsp salt
Cake:
- 2 cups flour

For the Streusel topping mix together dry ingredients in a bowl. Add melted butter and blend together with fork. Set aside.
Next make the cake. With mixer, whip butter and add sugar. Add eggs and beat well, add sour cream and vanilla continue to beat. In a separate bowl stir together dry ingredients and then add to butter mixture and mix until combined.
Spread half of batter into a greased 10″ springform pan. Add a layer of sliced apples and sprinkle half of the crumble topping over top. Add remaining batter and the rest of the crumbs of the top.
Drizzle caramel sauce over top of cake. (the squeeze bottle brand works best.) Cook at 350 F for 50 minutes. Let cool and remove from pan. Slice and enjoy!
I highly recommend using a Apple Peeler Corer and Slicer for this recipe and others that involve sliced apples. This handy device makes peeling, slicing and coring apples a breeze!
