It is that time of year when we are getting ready to entertain for the holidays. This is a delicious appetizer that is sure to please. The wonderful taste of creamy brie, sweetness of strawberries and tang for the vinegar makes a great combination. These are so quick and easy to make, but everyone will be impressed with your creation.
Strawberry Phyllo Brie Bites
- 1 package of Mini Fillo Shells
- 1 Brie Log
- 1 cup strawberries
- 1/4 cup of balsamic vinegar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
Cut the slice brie log and place into each of the phyllo cups. (I remove the outer white coating but it is not required) Bake in oven at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile slice strawberries in to small pieces.
In sauce pan add 1/4 cup of balsamic vinegar and 1/4 cup brown sugar, and stir until sugar is desolved. Add and strawberries and simmer for 5 minutes. Strain strawberries. (If you don’t strain the berries the phyllo will get soggy)
Add strawberries to top of baked brie pastries. Enjoy!
